Trade Me's database is at the heart of our business. We run a very high performance operation and are looking to add a senior practitioner to our Database team.

Required skills and experience:
• Top-notch Microsoft SQL server skills
• Experience with database replication and multi SQL Server environments
• A comprehensive understanding of database internals
• Good SQL development and tuning experience
• Exposure to hardware, servers and networking
• A background that spans project and operational environments

Required personal attributes:
• A focus on quality and an attention to detail

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• A strong sense of ownership over your area of responsibility
• Great team skills and a can-do attitude

You also need to be very adaptable and have a strong propensity to learn.
