Since its launch nine years ago, Trade Me has continued to grow rapidly, expanding into new ventures, and developing new relationships. To assist this continuing growth we are seeking a legal counsel to assist with a wide range of interesting and exciting legal work right across the business.

This work will include:

• Drafting agreements
• Providing sound advice, particularly to our Customer Services and Trust and Safety teams
• General legal support across the business.

Required skills and experience:

• 1-3 years PQE
• Able to work efficiently to provide sound advice in a timely manner
• Great written & verbal communication skills.

Ideally you will already have a good understanding of the internet and be familiar with consumer, privacy and/or intellectual property laws, and with drafting contracts.

Trade Me is looking to hire the successful candidate on an eight month contract, after which the need for an ongoing or permanent position will be considered.
