Re the age of the machine, you can find the serial number on the bottom. It will start with a letter or two which is the code for the assembly factory, e.g. SG = Singapore, and then the next number is the year. With this model, I would guess either 9 for 1999 or 0 for 2000 then the next two numbers is the specific week, including a leading zero where necessary. I would guess at late 99 early 2000.
