This auction promotes the sale of 100 square metres of loosefill wool insulation overlayed to older insulation in the ceiling. The price equates to $7.00 per square metre (150mm combined depth R2.7).
A 1mm gap or greater negates the performance of the total section of batt or other formed product. A wool insulation overlay solves this problem. The overlay also prevents heat bridging through ceiling jib fixed directly to joists.
The wool is a high performance knopped product (small balls) that maintains its loft for many years(ie. does not settle). Treated for insects and tested to NZ Standard 4222 for thermal conductivity,fire,moisture and corrosiveness.
Our product is designed to be highly resistant to settling and once installed will not move or blow around as the fibres interlock.
Rodents will not effect the performance of wool insulation. Wool is complimentary with all DVS and heat transfer systems. There are no odours with wool once installed.
For recessed lights we install large covers to prevent winter heat loss. We do this free of cost.
