OLD ROSES - Gardening with Old Roses - an NZ guid

No reserve  |  Closed: 7:52 pm, Thu 21 Aug 2008
This was my bible :) Hardback PROTECTIVE binding!

Absolutely awesome book with beautiful photographs and plant lists that offer inspiration for companion planting, and information is given on buying, planting, pruning, propagation, pests and diseases.

A wonderful book for lovers of old roses. This book shows how valuable old roses can be in garden planning and planting schemes. A brief history and classification is followed by detailed coverage of their uses in a range of situations, and for various purposes. They feature in gardens of all sizes, in all shapes and sizes, shady woodland areas, climbing roses: on trees or pillars, arches and pergolas, as decoration for hedges, as ground cover and in containers, for disguising old sheds and bare walls, for hips or perfume, and for picking and arranging. Advice is also offered on how to succeed with old roses in poor soils or on difficult sites. A calendar for northern and southern hemispheres reminds gardeners when to perform the necessary tasks and explains how to plan for along flowering season.

In great condition bar very slight foxing to outside of pages when book closed. My name to inside cover.

I see you were asking questions on a camera I was also looking at. The trader doesn't answer my questions, did you have any luck? I also am keen on a D300 with 18-200 VR lens. Thanks if you have any news.  posted by: lizzids (987 )  8:38 pm, Sun 17 Aug
I was asking quite a few questions on a few D300s, some answered, some not. However I still haven't bought one either 10:17 pm, Sun 17 Aug
